Despite having a great location in the heart of the city, and a pretty extensive F & B menu that’s a first for a concert venue in Singapore, we’re most excited about what we have to offer in terms of music. We think we’ve found a way to feature local artists with original material alongside up-and-coming acts from around the world, while still bringing in big-ticket names every now and then.
Local Residents: Several Singapore artists and bands take turns to play throughout the week, rotated every couple of months. We encourage these partners to forego their usual covers and take things to the next level. This means you’ll always hear an established or promising local talent performing their own songs on stage.
Artists-In-Residence (AIR): Think of this as a musical exchange program. We’ll bring in a different foreign artist every week – they could be anyone from YouTube stars on the brink of going supernova, to cafe circuit veterans from Los Angeles/New York – and have them play each night following our local residents. If the chemistry’s right, we may even see some unscheduled collaborations!
Concerts: Once in a while (every month or so), we’ll have very special guests drop in for a visit. These will be the only times you’ll have to buy tickets, and we promise they’ll be worth it. They are also a chance for our local residents to open for and maybe share the stage with their inspirations.
We’re always looking for ways to help the scene develop, and will be unveiling more plans as they’re ready. Stay tuned for more on Singapore’s most exciting new live music venue, due to open officially in end of August 2010!
