Drinks: Favourites and Classics

BLOODY MARY

An invention by Fernand Petiot, an American bartender working at Harry’s New York Bar in Paris in the 1920′s. He originally served the drink with equal parts vodka and tomato juice, but Petiot added the pepper, Worcestershire, Tabasco and lemon to spice things up for New Yorkers when he returned to the States in 1934. Moving forward, we pep his creation with horseradish and celery salt

CAIPIRINHA

One of the best known elements of Brazilian culture outside of Brazil, gringos never seem to get enough of the Caipirinha. Cachaca, sugar and fresh lime, smashed over crushed ice. Be a tourist. Drink one. Pretend. We don’t mind and we won’t tell

CAIPIROSKA

Vodka, sugar and fresh lime. A modern day classic inspired by another – a variation of Caipirinha

Rejuvenated from the mid-70s, The Long Island Iced Tea has become a mainstay at bars all over the world

SINGAPORE SLING

Do marvel at how wonderfully complex and joyous this cocktail can be. Every sip affords you a sweet, tart, aromatic, bitter, and herbal flavour. Its balance is not often seen in cocktails containing more than a few ingredients, let alone nine

Equal parts sweet and sour, equal amounts of tart and tangy – the perfect example of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. Choose Amaretto, Midori or bourbon to be artfully blended with sours and bitters for a truly classic experience
