TAB is a mid-sized, live music venue where good food and drinks play an important part in the total concert experience. The first of its kind in Singapore and possibly South East Asia, TAB is split over three levels of the old Orchard Hotel Galleria space and showcases the talents of local and foreign artists alike. The venue seats 200 to 250 comfortably, or has a maximum capacity of 600 standing.
Revamped in January 2012
In January 2012, TAB was renovated to give it a darker, edgier feel. The stage has been extended with multiple lights and eight large LED panels added. The seating area has now been reconfigured along with plush VIP booths that allow a more comfortable view of the performances and give patrons a more exclusive club ambience.
What It Offers
TAB is both a concert venue to present established international artists in an intimate setting; and a live music platform that develops local and foreign up-and-coming artists, by showcasing their original compositions. Dedicated to live, original music across all genres, TAB offers local and international artists the opportunity to showcase their talent on a regular basis.
Music Programming
• Local Artists: Our SOUNDCHECK sessions are regular nights throughout the week that will see Singaporean musicians performing at TAB. Some local artists who have performed at TAB include 53A, Inch Chua, Charles J Tan, Sixx, Michaela Therese, The Next Movement, Shun Ng and Tirumisu.
• Concerts: On top of regular weekly programming, TAB will also hold ticketed concerts once or twice a month for both established artists with a sizeable local following. Soe of such artists who have graced the stage at TAB include Ryan Cabrera, The Album Leaf, Jayesslee, David Choi, An Horse, ROX, Jose James, Ed Kowalczyk (of LIVE), The Cab, A Skylit Drive, Lenka, Kyle Patrick (of the Click Five), Zee Avi, Renegade Creation, Mel Gaynor (of Simple Minds) and The Buena Vista Social Club. While concerts at TAB have been predominantly in English, TAB has held concerts in Chinese with acts like BY2.
Neverland Exclusive @ TAB
In partnership with established club operators, Club Neverland, this late night club experience occurs seven nights a week. Alternating between live music performances and club DJ sets, it features a resident band, singers, dancers and DJs from all over Asia – including countries like China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
Food & Drinks
Catered for by three full-service bars and a kitchen, food and drinks are also an integral part of the unique concert experience at TAB.
Featuring a selection of bar snacks with a couple of heartier items, many of the items on our menu are influenced by the taste palettes of our Asian neighbours. We’ve also still got our old favourites like the TAB Burger and our TAB Fries.
The bar is always dying to try out their cocktail inventions. There are a wide range of cocktails to choose from and if you don’t see something you’d like to try, our bar tenders can always whip something up on the fly to suit you.
